The Medway Messenger has teamed up with Medway NHS Foundation Trust to launch a readers’ Hospital Hero award. They want to hear from anyone who feels someone at the hospital has gone above and beyond their call of duty to deliver outstanding care or treatment.
From cleaners, porters, midwives, doctors, surgeons or even volunteers – if you feel you have had exceptionally good treatment, let us know. Last year’s winner, nurse Funmi Rahman, had no experience as a midwife but she dashed to the rescue when a mum to be was about to give birth in the back of a car.
The Medway Messenger Hospital Hero will receive their award alongside 11 others at the Trust’s annual prize giving ceremony at Priestfield Stadium on 20 April.
