Harvey McEnroe

Harvey joined the Trust as Chief Operating Officer in November 2018.

Harvey has worked in the NHS for the past 10 years, and has led service across unplanned, emergency and integrated care at a number of large hospital providers including Kings College NHS Foundation Trust, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and St George’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. During his time as a senior leader Harvey has managed many Emergency Departments and set up a number of ambulatory and urgent care services.

Harvey is the Trust’s executive lead for unplanned care and integrated care, focusing on the improvement work around emergency care, ambulatory care and urgent care services, discharge planning and supported discharge planning and delivery, as well as the wider integration with colleagues across the CCG and the broader healthcare economy. In addition to his work across the unplanned and integrated care services Harvey is also executive lead for pharmacy, therapies and site operations.

Harvey also leads the Trust’s day to day operational response to unplanned and emergency patient flow and works alongside the Trust’s senior medical and nursing leadership teams to ensure we are meeting the needs of all our patients coming in via our emergency department and urgent treatment centre. Harvey takes a keen interest in the care of older people and patients with complex social care needs; he leads the work on improving our Frailty services and Complex Discharge services, supporting our most vulnerable patients across Medway and Swale. As Chief Operating Officer, Harvey works closely with the Trust’s Transformation Team to improve the services we provide to all our patients. Harvey is passionate about service transformation and efficiency and has a strong history of service improvement across unplanned and integrated care; he is the executive lead for our Best Flow Programme.

Harvey studied for his undergraduate degree at the University of Kent and lived in Canterbury for a number of years as a student; he now lives in Blackheath in London and is married with one daughter, but Kent remains close to his heart. Harvey takes a keen interest in Health and Education policy at a local and national level. Harvey serves as a Governor for the City of London Academy and for a number of primary schools across south east London. In his own time Harvey enjoys cooking, reading and spending quality time with his wife and daughter.
