Changes to car parking charges

From 1 October, car parking charges for patients and visitors on the Medway Maritime Hospital site will be changing.

From this date, all parking charges will be increased by 10 per cent; for example a four hour stay will cost £4.40 instead of £4.

This will be the first change to parking charges since 2014. As a Trust, we have resisted increasing parking charges for a number of years, but associated costs of maintaining the car parks have increased, leading to us making this very difficult decision.

The income that the Trust receives from parking helps us pay for the maintenance and improvements of our car parks; any surplus beyond this is reinvested by the Trust into supporting patient care.
