Do you knit? Have you heard of Twiddlemuffs?

The Dementia and Delirium team are looking for people to donate wool or their time to make the Twiddlemuffs or mats.

Twiddlemuffs and mats are a great way to help people with moderate or later stages of dementia when they are bored or in need of distraction in hospital. They may be of help in distracting people from touching their cannulas or dressings.

The knitted muffs, which act as a therapeutic aid for our dementia patients, also provide simple stimulation for hands, while promoting increased flexibility and brain stimulation.
