NHS Big Tea
The NHS’ birthday is coming up on Friday 5 July 2019 and following the success of last year’s BIG7TEA campaign, The Medway Hospital Charity is asking local community, staff, volunteers and patients to raise a cuppa to celebrate our wonderful health service.
The NHS Big Tea will be a chance for people up and down the country to come together and toast the NHS. Host your own tea party and invite friends, family and colleagues along to mark the occasion and support the vital work of NHS charities. The humble cup of tea has a long and proud associations with the NHS. Originally served to patients in traditional fine cups with saucers and side spoon, tea was considered an important aspect of patient satisfaction and recovery. Tea brings us all together. It breaks down social boundaries, and like the NHS and NHS charities, is a symbol of comfort and community.
Thank you again for your support - we’re counting on your cuppa.
