Chief Medical Officer

Alison is delighted to be joining Medway as Chief Medical Officer. She started her clinical career as a paediatric ophthalmologist and has worked as a consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital, St Georges Hospital Tooting, Croydon University Hospital and as an honorary consultant at Great Ormand Street Hospital. Recent clinical leadership experience includes deputy medical director at Moorfields and hospital medical director at Kent and Canterbury Hospital. Alison is committed to clinical quality improvement and has been a GIRFT (Getting It Right First Time) clinical ambassador for all specialities across London and remains ophthalmology national co-lead.

She is passionate about improving patient outcomes and believes in the importance of listening to staff at all levels to encourage us all to care for our patients and each other.

Alison has recently moved to Kent and is enjoying getting to know the Kent countryside walking her dog.
