Celebrating Rainbow Day for Medway

Date: 13 July 2021

Rainbow news

Staff and pupils from schools across Medway and Swale celebrated the 73rd birthday of the NHS by taking part in a Rainbow Day to raise money for The Medway Hospital Charity. On Friday 9 July, over 60 schools and nurseries held tag days, cakes sales, art attacks and crafty activities and donated money to support the wellbeing of staff at Medway Maritime Hospital. Tiny Tugs, the onsite nursery at Medway, also took part and staff had a great time dressing up!

Cheryl Jones, Fundraising Officer, said “Thank you to everyone who took part in our Rainbow Day for Medway! It was fantastic to see so many children dressed up in colourful clothes, with crazy hair, crazy socks and shoes, in support of the NHS. This is our first Rainbow Day but after the success we’ve had, we hope to make it an annual event.”
