Children’s entertainer Mister Maker will meet fans at a family fun day, organised by one of Medway Maritime Hospital’s children’s play specialists, Ann McKinnon, at Gillingham Football Club on Sunday 18 May.
Raising money for the hospital’s Children’s Ward and the Evelina London Children’s Charity, the day will be jam packed with family entertainment and will run from 10.30am to 5pm at the Gills’ stadium in Redfern Avenue, Gillingham.

Donna Law, Head of Charity, The Medway Hospital Charity said: “We are very grateful to Ann for continuing to raise money for our Children’s Ward, to Gillingham Football Club for hosting another family fun day and to Mister Maker for ensuring it will be a memorable event for young visitors.
“Last year’s event raised more than £6,000 in total, with the charity’s half going to support the new sensory room in our children’s ward. It was great to see such community support which helps us to improve our young patients’ experience while in hospital.”
There will be a magician, singers and dancers, and special visits from children’s characters, plus some creepy crawlies!
There will also be a raffle, face painting, craft, candles, balloons, guess the weight of the cake and a tombola. Food and refreshments will also be available, including cakes, popcorn and an ice cream van.
Entry costs £2 for adults, 50p for children, with under twos going free. It’s a cash only event so visitors are urged to bring lots of change.
