The NHS is urging people to think ahead and use services wisely this Easter. A little planning now means no egg‑stra stress later.
With the school holidays starting on Friday 3 April, the NHS in Kent and Medway is encouraging parents and carers to be prepared by keeping a well-stocked medicine cabinet at home and ordering repeat prescriptions in good time.
You can order repeat prescriptions on the NHS App and nominate a pharmacy, saving you time and putting you in control of your health needs.
Families can download a booklet aimed at children aged five to 11-years-old, which has information about common childhood health issues, things you should have at home and what to do if your child is unwell.
GP practices will be closed over the bank holiday weekend. If you feel unwell, get advice from your local pharmacist and don’t wait for it to get more serious. Check the opening times of your nearest pharmacy.
Urgent treatment centres are open every day and treat minor illnesses and injuries such as sprains, minor burns and broken bones. Live waiting times for urgent treatment centres can now be found at www.kmhealthandcare.uk/urgent-care.
