Members of the public are invited to the Trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting on Tuesday 23 September 2025. This is a chance to hear about our achievements over the past year, how we tackling our challenges, and our plans for the year ahead.
This year, Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant Mr Rajesh Bawale will discuss the latest advancements in same-day hip replacements at Medway, highlighting the team’s improvements in patient care, and sharing insights into the future of orthopaedic services. He’ll be joined by Sharon Clare, his first same-day hip replacement patient, who credits the team for giving her .
John Goulston, Chair of Medway NHS Foundation Trust said: “The Annual Members’ Meeting provides us with an opportunity to share our progress and challenges with our local community, and to showcase how the successes of our hard-working staff are making a real difference to our patients.”

The meeting will take place in the hospital restaurant, Below Deck Dining (Level One, Purple Zone), starting at 5pm on Tuesday 23 September.

The Annual Members’ Meeting is open to all, not just Trust members.
However, there are benefits to becoming a Trust member, including:
- regular email updates from the Trust
- opportunities to get actively involved and help shape our services
- the option to stand as a candidate and vote in Governor elections when they take place.
Anyone who lives in England or Wales can become a member of the Trust. It’s easy and free to sign up.
