We will be carrying out a major IT upgrade overnight from Friday 27 to the morning of Saturday 28 June 2025. This important work will make our digital systems more secure, reliable and resilient, supporting better care for our patients.
What’s happening?
To complete this upgrade, most of our clinical and non-clinical IT systems will be taken offline for a short period. The work will be carefully managed in phases to minimise disruption, with critical systems prioritised for early restoration.
What this means for patients and visitors
Our services will continue to operate and appointments should go ahead as planned. While digital systems are temporarily unavailable, our teams will use established paper-based processes to maintain safe and effective care. This may mean some administrative processes take a little longer than usual, so please bear with us if there are any short delays.
Please note that WiFi access will be unavailable for patients and visitors during the upgrade.
If you’re staying with us or visiting the hospital during this time and have questions, please speak to the nurse or midwife in charge.
Our main Switchboard telephone number (01634 830000) will remain in operation throughout.
We apologise for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience as we carry out this essential work.
