Please take care in these icy conditions

It is very windy, cold and extremely icy on the roads surrounding the hospital. Our Estates team is working hard to keep the pavements clear but as the icy rain continues to fall, please be careful if you are visiting us.

We continue to work to provide our full range of emergency and urgent care. Outpatient appointments are going ahead unless you have been contacted. If you need to cancel your appointment, please call 01634 817032.

Please note that here may be reduced parking on site in the evenings and overnight while the weather remains challenging to accommodate the vehicles of staff who would ordinarily travel to work by public transport. While relatives will be able to visit patients as usual, we advise that relatives are ‘dropped off’ for and collected from their visit or to use other methods of travel rather than bringing cars onsite.

Please stay well in this cold weather, and consider the best treatment options for your individual condition; a GP or pharmacist may be able to provide appropriate care and treatment and avoid an unnecessary trip to the Trust’s emergency department. Simply dialling 111 will put you through to the NHS 111 service, who will be able to advise you of the best options.
