Restrictions to visiting

Date: 16 October 2020

News update image

There are currently a small number of patients, who have tested positive for coronavirus, being cared for in the hospital.

As a precaution we have suspended visiting to Will Adams, Jade and Wakeley wards. We have taken this step to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and the wider community.

Exceptions may be made on compassionate grounds; please discuss these with the nurse in charge.

We apologise for any distress this may cause, however protecting patients and staff is our main priority during the pandemic.

We would like to reassure our community that we have a range of measures in place to ensure the safety of those coming to our hospital, including appropriate PPE for staff, hand hygiene stations and the wearing of masks on hospital sites, one-way systems and social distancing.

Please be aware that visiting guidelines vary depending on the ward. Please see here for details about visiting arrangements on each ward.
