Medway NHS Foundation Trust has received a generous donation of £10,000 from local company MTS Cleansing Services Ltd.

The waste management firm, based in Rochester, presented a giant cheque to the Trust’s Chief Executive, James Devine, outside Medway Maritime Hospital.

The donation comes weeks after MTS also provided several digital radios for the patients recovering on the wards at the hospital in Gillingham.

Cheryl Jones, Fundraising Officer at Medway NHS Foundation Trust, said:

‘’We would like to express our gratitude to MTS for their support during the COVID-19 outbreak. We are extremely grateful for the donation of £10,000 and the supply of digital radios, which have provided real comfort to our patients.’’

James Devine, Chief Executive at Medway NHS Foundation Trust, added:

‘’We send our heartfelt thanks to MTS and welcome this wonderful gift which will be used to benefit our staff and patients during the COVID-19 outbreak and beyond.

‘’In recent months we have seen such brilliant support from our community in Medway and Swale and these donations are a great reward for the tireless and committed work of our staff.’’

Steve Gilson, Managing Director at MTS, said:
