Query about your appointment?
The Patient Service Centre is responsible for helping to arrange your appointment at the hospital. We can help with changing, cancelling or confirming outpatient appointments as well as general enquiries.
We will try to answer any queries you have, or find you the most appropriate person to help.
Your appointment letter
When you call us, it would be very helpful if you could have your appointment letter or NHS number to hand to help staff to answer your query. We normally ask to verify your telephone contact number and address, so that all of your information is updated.
Appointment Reminder Service
If you have a mobile phone, you can sign up for our telephone reminder service. Just ask us to set this up for you when you are booking in for your appointment. You will receive a text and voice mail reminder seven days before your appointment. A second reminder will be sent again three days before your appointment. The text reminder will give you our telephone number and a mobile number, so that you can contact us if you need to rearrange your appointment.
We will contact you on the same day or the following working day to follow up.
If you need to rearrange or cancel your appointment
If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. It is important to do this so that we can offer the appointment slot to someone else.
Missed appointments waste NHS resources and money – which could be spent on other areas of patient care.
