Blood tests (phlebotomy)

Our blood test service is a diagnostic test used to assess your general state of health. Blood tests can also be used to check for infections, test how well your organs are working or to screen for certain genetic conditions.

If you are referred by one of our consultants for a blood test, you can have this done at the hospital in the Eliot Ward, located next to the hospital car park, opposite the entrance to the main hospital. You do not need to book ahead as this is a walk-in service.

Walk-in opening times:
Monday
07:00 to 16:45
Tuesday
07:00 to 16:45
Wednesday
07:00 to 16:45
Thursday

If you are referred for a blood test by your GP, or by a community service, this would be provided by the Medway Community Health Services blood testing service.
