A MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scan is produced from magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the body.
There is a tunnel shaped machine used to generate the images. Scans can take anywhere between 15 to 90 minutes depending on what scan you are having.
MRI provides a service to a range of patients from outpatients and inpatients on our wards. If you are an outpatient please check-in at North Wing Reception, Level 2, Red Zone.
You should receive an appointment letter and a safety questionnaire which should be completed and bought to your appointment.
If you have any queries, please contact the department.
