Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
This service provides treatment that can help relieve the symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and make it much less of a problem in day-to-day life. ADHD can be treated using medication or therapy, or a combination of both.
Our nurse-led specialist service is based at Preston Skreens in Sheerness, Kent. We aim to support children with ADHD and their families with treatment and advice, including where a child is newly-diagnosed, or where a family is in crisis relating to their child’s ADHD.
We run six-week information sessions for parents to help them to understand their children better. We also provide help and advice to agencies working with families where someone has ADHD, including arranging teaching sessions to school staff or other agencies.
Information on referral to the service is available through your GP, and through paediatricians or school nurses.
