Paediatrics

Our 23-bedded paediatric unit provides care for children aged 0-17 with a range of complex medical and surgical conditions.

Some of our services include:
  • orthopaedic and trauma
  • ear, nose and throat

Visiting the children’s wards

We welcome parents on the ward to be with their child wherever possible, including for one parent or carer to stay overnight.

Parents who are not staying overnight can visit their child from 6am to midnight. Children can receive a maximum of three visitors from 1.30pm to 7.30pm.

Any visitor displaying unacceptable physical or verbal behaviour will be asked to leave.

Telephone use

Mobile phones can be used in the parent’s room only or outside the ward. These should be switched off whilst on the ward. Pay phones are available on the hospital site.
